Designing Your Radio Network
How we assist you
The purpose of a radio network is to increase the range of your radios. For example, when using hand radios, the range is typically limited to 1-1.5 km. However, when using the same hand radios through a repeater/booster, the range can be extended to 5-15 km depending on the terrain. When using mobile units, such as between two vehicles, distances of 1-20 km can be expected depending on the terrain. When using mobile radios through a repeater, distances of 1-40 km can be achieved depending on the terrain. A base station in a house or office can also be used through a repeater to extend distances.
RCTech also provides repeaters in certain areas to expand your communication network. There is a monthly fee per radio that is payable to RCTech.
